The Protocol’s target is collecting abandoned ELT in the territory, to prevent their illegal use, and thus avoid further danger for the environment and public health.

Extraordinary collection operations at Aulla, Massa Carrara province
About 3,000 End of Life Tyres tons were present in the deposit, located in the “ex-Cjmeco” area; Ecopneus is taking action, under its sole charge, to completely remove this stock preventing any risk of fire or spread of diseases

Started last April 11th, collection operations from old stocks continue without a break at Poviglio, in Reggio Emilia Province, where about 1,500 End of Life Tyres tons lied abandoned.

Minimum quantity of tyres introduced in the replacement market necessary to join Ecopneus have been reduced
The limit set for tyre manufacturers and importers to join Ecopneus is reduced from 20 to 10 tons of tyres introduced in the domestic replacement market during the previous year
