Premiato il miglior progetto di eco designEco-design is the basis for a sustainable development of the economy: designing and making products that pay attention to their whole life cycle and that may be recycled and recyclable substantially contributes to an economic growth that is sustainable for both the environment and society.

For this reason, the Academy of Fine Arts “Aldo Galli” – IED of the City of Como –  has awarded the best design of innovative products made with #recycled rubber from ELTs that may potentially be ready for their sale.

Casei Eco System and Ecopneus, indeed, gave IED – Academy of Fine Arts “Aldo Galli” of the city of Como – the mandate for developing urban design projects containing objects in recycled rubber. The students of the eco-design course (Furniture & Design course) carried out some research and created some new projects that are potentially ready for sale.

The winning project, “The Wall” by Luca Valsecchi, was born from the observation of a block of concrete used for the creation of retaining drywalls. From the study of this object, it emerged the possibility of its use not only for external environments, but also for internal ones. A modular element for the creation of small retaining walls, flowerbeds, DIY gardening, but also for backstage and indoor dividers.

Ecopneus has expressed great satisfaction for the projects they received. All of them were deemed valid and functional; indeed, they have demonstrated, once more, how recycled rubber is a versatile material with infinite use possibilities.
