Promote safety of rubber granules for football pitches

To change the distorted perception about the safety of recycled rubber granules from End-of-Life Tyres, Ecopneus has developed a strategy articulated on two levels. On the one hand, it promoted a scientific research that lasted for two years. Realised by Bureau Veritas, CERISIE, Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri-IRCCS and Waste and Chemicals, this piece of research hasshed some light on the safety of recycled rubber granules. On the other hand, Ecopneus has collaborated with important Italian Premier League football teams, such as Atalanta FC and Bologna FC1909, for the realisation of synthetic turf football pitches with recycled rubber in their sports centres. Some tests have also been carried out on them to confirm the excellent gaming performances. The positive experiences of the two historical Italian football clubs are the confirmation of the scientific evidence of the study; they are also a stimulus to the spread of this valid application even among the most important teams of our championship.
