The registrations for the seventh edition of the 2018 Green Economy States General are open. They shall be held at Rimini Fiera, within the scope of Ecomondo, on 6thand 7thNovember. This year they are dedicated to the Green Economy and to the new occupation for the relaunch of Italy.
The initiative is an appointment of reference for the Green Economy in Italy. It is organised by the National Council of the Green Economy in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment and it is under the patronage of the Ministry of the Economic Development and of the European Commission. It is composed of 66 organisations of enterprises and Ecopneus is a member of the same.
The works will start with the opening plenary session in the morning of 6thNovember in the presence of the Minister of the Environment, Mr Sergio Costa. During this session, Mr Edo Ronchi will present the 2018 Report on the state of the green economy and the 7 priorities of the Green Economy for the XVIII Legislature, the platform elaborated by the National Council of the Green Economy aimed, in particular, at the decision-makers of the Parliament and of the Government with the aim of developing a dynamic and open confrontation during the course of the whole Legislature.
In the afternoon of the 6thNovember, 4 thematic sessions of in-depth research and consultation on the following topics will be held:
- Cities, laboratories of the green economy – in collaboration with the Green City Network
- The new European directives about waste and the circular economy: indications for their implementation – in collaboration with the Circular Economy Network
- Future mobility: less, electric, green and shared – in collaboration with the Sharing Mobility National Observatory
- The green economy in the Italian agriculture and the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) – in collaboration with the Ministry of Agricultural Policies*
The States General of the Green Economy will continue in the morning of 7thNovember, with the international plenary session dedicated to the topic: “the roles of enterprises in the transition to the green economy: world trends”. The Under Secretary of the Ministry of the Economic development, Mr Davide Crippa, authoritative institutional speakers, and speakers of the world of national and international companies will also attend the meeting.
The works will end in the afternoon of 7th November, with the consultation session, organised in collaboration with the Ministry of the Economic development and Anev. The topic will be: “the National Energy and Climate Plan: state-of-the-art and confrontation with the stakeholders”. It will be the first open confrontation among the institutions that are taking forward the elaboration of the document and the representatives of the green enterprises.
