Modified Asphalts under the spotlight. A workshop on the evolution of this technology and the many positive experiences in the area around Bologna will be held in Pianoro (BO) on 11th May.

Asfalti modificatiOn Friday 11thMay the workshop “Application of rubber powder for multipurpose road surfaces with low environmental impact” will be held at the conference room of the Museo di Arte e Mestieri of the town of Pianoro (BO). The workshop is organised by the University of Bologna-Department of Civil, chemical, environmental and materials Engineering and the Engineers’ Association of Bologna, with the support of the Council of Pianoro, the Coucil of Zola Pedrosa and of SIIV, the Non-profit Company for Road Infrastructure. Ecopneus, Frantoio Fondovalle and Valli Zabban have also contributed to the event.

During the course of the event, the recent experimentation carried out in the province of Bologna with SMA (Splittmastix Asphalt), Drenoval Rubber and rubber powder will be discussed. Also Daniele Fornai, Responsible for Innovation of Ecopneus will hold a speech. He will share the recent experience and opportunities of the sector offered by the use of rubber powder from End-of-Life Tyres in road surfaces.
