visori Autopromotec2019Also this year Ecopneus will be among the exhibitors of Autopromotec. Its 120 square metres completely renovated stand will be in Pavilion 20, stand E61. The exhibition will be held at Fiera Bologna from 22nd to 26th May.

The visitors of the stand of Ecopneus will be able to try a virtual reality experience thanks to innovative viewers that will make them personally experience all the recovery cycle of End-of-Life tyres. Thanks to the available technologies, it will be possible to embark on a virtual journey in ELT recycling to find out every element of the chain that allows this precious resource to be transformed into recycled rubber for many useful applications of our daily lives: sports surfaces, soundproofing panels, playgrounds, urban furniture, and much more.

Giovanni Corbetta, General Manager of Ecopneus, said: “For Ecopneus, Autopromotec represents a meeting point with the many ELT Generation Points we serve on the territory (tyre dealers, service stations, mechanics), and with whom we can discuss about the management system of End-of-Life tyres. It is a dialogue Ecopneus supports not only on special occasions (as Autopromotec), but also during the whole year, thanks to our attendance to dedicated events. We discuss with the main category associations; moreover, we listen to the requests and give answers to the over 25,000 spare parts operators all over Italy”.

In 2018 Ecopneus tracked, collected, and recovered over 240,000 tonnes of End-of-Life tyres, thus satisfying over 60,000 collection requests Ecopneus received from the ELT generation points all over Italy, from Lampedusa to Cortina d’Ampezzo. It is a free, constant, and regular collection all over the Italian territory, every working day of the year.

This is a service for the operators, but also the certainty of the correct recovery of End-of-Life tyres. And not only that. Arecent study carried out by the Symbola Foundation for the Italian Qualities has demonstrated how the system set up by Ecopneus has many positive effects also for the development and growth of the companies of the ELT chain. From 2011 to today, a 64.8% occupational growth has been recorded among the 67 companies of the Ecopneus chain, with about 900 employees fully dedicated to End-of-Life Tyres. Thanks to the support of Ecopneus, these companies have been able to invest in new technologies, in new machinery, and in the quality of the end product, whose effects have been demonstrated also by the efficiency indicator developed by Symbola: from 3.8 kg of ELTs treated for every Euro they received from Ecopneus in 2012, we came to 4.8 kg in 2017.
