Social, inclusive, and entertaining. This is the 15th edition of the “Sports Festival”, organised by the association Porto Antico di Genova in collaboration with Uisp and Stelle nello Sport, from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th May. Many Olympic and Paralympic champions will be involved in this Festival. They will be playing with children, teens, and adults: from Andreea Stefanescu, the 2011 Rhythmic Gymnastics world champion, to Armin Zoeggeler, one of the greatest protagonists of Italian sledge.
Ecopneus is supporting the Festival by sponsoring a 150 square metres athletics track made with rubber recycled from End-of-Life tyres. The recycled rubber from End-of-Life tyres becomes an ideal surface for running, playing, and having fun. Sports surfaces like this one constitute an example of recycling and circular economy.
There is no age limit to participate: from the youngest children to the elderly, everybody can try the activities offered byGenoa’s local UIPS committee. Many of these activities are accessible also to disabled people. There will be many free activities during the Genoese Festival: more than 90 sports and 180 events: from climbing to tennis, from volleyball to football, from basketball to baseball, from martial arts to archery, as well as badminton, mountain bike, minibikes, and much more.
