Ecopneus presents its Educational Project in collaboration with Legambiente. It is an initiative aimed at education to legality and sustainability: over 10,000 students have been involved since 2013.

From 9th to 11th October, in collaboration with Legambiente, Ecopneus is taking part to the third edition of Fiera Didacta Italia, the most important exhibition about the world of school, which is held in the Fortezza da Basso in Florence. The exhibition has the goal of favouring the debate about the world of education among Bodies, associations, and entrepreneurs, in order to create a meeting point between schools and the companies of the sector, in the light of innovation. It is organised by Firenze Fiera with the contribution, among others, of the Ministry of Education, Didacta International, Region Tuscany, and the Council of the City of Florence. Indire (l’Istituto nazionale per la documentazione, l’innovazione e la ricerca educative – the National Institute for educational documentation, innovation and research) is the scientific coordinator.

In this prestigious location, Ecopneus is presenting its Educational project: an educational initiative for the students of junior and secondary schools that the consortium has organised in collaboration with Legambiente since 2013. Over ten thousand students have been involved so far. Every year the project concentrates on a specific Italian Region with meetings organised in classrooms, visits of plants treating ELTs, brochures, information material, events of in-depth discussion about legality and sustainability, and a contest. After the Valle d’Aosta Region, Piedmont, Sicily, Campania, and Apulia, 2019 is the turn of the Lazio Region.

A jury composed of the representatives of Legambiente, the Ministry of Education, and Ecopneus awards sports surfaces and products in recycled rubber to the schools of the winning classes. These prises are strong messages of legality and of environmental protection, in those places where the new generations are being formed.
