Horse riding Tyrefield surfaces have been among the protagonists of FieraCavalli 2019, where they have been appreciated by world-ranking champions and by the protagonists of the Arabian Dream Show

The 121st edition of Fieracavalli was held in Verona from 7th to 10th November. The two Tyrefield horse riding surfaces made with recycled rubber have been protagonists of the exhibition. These surfaces have been created thanks to Ecopneus and UISP, l’Unione Italiana Sport Per tutti, (Union Sports for Everybody). They are an innovative solution capable of combining sports, environmental sustainability, and horse’s and rider’s wellbeing.

The Tyrefield horse riding surfaces, installed in Pavilions 2 and 7, have been set up with the contribution of Promix and Italgreen  according to the parameters identified in a research carried out by Uliano Vezzani, International Chef de Piste, in collaboration with Fabrizio ForsoniRider and Responsible for UISP’s SDA National Horse Riding, in order to create horse riding surfaces that are ideal for various disciplines.

4 intensive days of activities have been carried out on these two surfaces, among which: the 3rd edition of the Ecopneus-Uisp Trophy, the Arabian Horse Show, and the Horsemanship Légéretré exhibition.

The Last jump 5 Stars Tyrefield horse riding surface

The Last Jump 5 star surface in Pavilion 7 has been used by the champions of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup. It has been expressly developed for show-jumping and has been tested by the international rider Giovanni Lucchetti. Horses have shown great serenity on this surface: it is excellent for relaxation work, it has good shock-absorption properties with the three gaits, and allows good thrust upon jumping. The surface was composed of recycled rubber slabs positioned on a rubber mattress. Synthetic turf with “nobilitated” recycled rubber infill and coconut granules was placed above the slabs to guarantee the performances expected from horses during competitions.

The superficial layer of the surface located in Pavilion 2 was composed of nobilitated rubber granules and encapsulated rubber. This is a specific composition tested by horsewomen at national level with horses specialised in dressage and suitable for many activities: from vaulting and horse riding lessons (even for people with disabilities), to the rehabilitation of horses with shocks to their legs and postural problems.
