Two weekends dedicated to information and entertainment open to everybody and dedicated to horses’ and riders’ wellbeing on the surfaces made with rubber recycled from End-of-Life Tyres.

The wellbeing of both horses and their riders is, once more, the main objective of Ecopneus and UISP. At Fieracavalli 2021, they are jointly aiming at raising the awareness of the advantages of the training surfaces made with recycled rubber. Scientific studies and field tests have demonstrated how the use of state-of-the-art and environmentally sustainable horse-riding surfaces made with recycled rubber can protect horses’ articulations. Moreover, they drastically reduce dust dispersion in the air compared with the traditional sand fields. They are draining and have very low maintenance costs, as well as strong anti-shock properties, which makes them adequate also for riders’ protection.

For this reason, the Tyrefield horse riding field is among the protagonists of the 123° edition of Fieracavalli (4-7 and 12-14 November, in Verona). Located in Area A, immediately after the Cangrande Entrance opposite Pav. 1, it will host several activities of the exhibition. It is an innovative solution capable of combining sport, environmental sustainability, and horses’ and riders’ wellbeing. The Fieracavalli surface has been created thanks to Ecopneus and UISPThe Italian Union Sports for Everybody. Ecopneus is the non-profit company that manages the collection and recycling of End-of-Life Tyres in Italy.

The 20 x 40 m Tyefield surface installed in Area A with the contribution of Promix has been created according to the parameters identified by Uliano Vezzani, International Chef de Piste. It is composed of 890 recycled rubber tiles and a performing infill of granules and sand as well as geotextiles. Recycled rubber has also been used for all the walkways linking the various areas dedicated to horses.

The Fieracavalli activities that will be held on the Tyrefield surface shall be narrated live every day from 11.30 to 12.00 and from 15.30 to 16.00 during the “Cavalli on Live” dedicated programme. This will be a daily appointment with the world of horse-riding that wants to inform, describe the trade fair and, above all, raise the awareness about horses’ and riders’ wellbeing through the voices of the experts of the sector. The appointments will talk about various issues, dedicated to recycled rubber surfaces, stables, university research, the disciplines that can be carried out on the working surfaces, up to dogs’ wellbeing. Indeed, dogs are animals that often accompany horse lovers.

The specialised programme shall be conducted by the journalist working for Teleambiente, Mariaelena Leggieri, during the first weekend. During the second weekend, instead, the conductor shall be Federico Pasquali – a journalist of Gazzetta dello Sport. They shall both be supported by Fabrizio Forsoni, a UISP horse-riding expert. Cavalli on Live shall be visible on the Facebook Pages of both Ecopneus and UISP – the two bodies taking care of its editing. It will be possible to interact through the email address: benesseredelcavallo@uisp.it.
